Make the evidence personal
In its 2024 review, the FDA, the US medicine regulator, did not establish benefit for any thymosin alpha-1 use it evaluated.
Ask what evidence applies to the problem you want treated. A clear explanation is more useful than a long list of immune claims.
- Which study supports use for my condition?
- What result mattered to the people in that study?
- What other treatment options can we discuss?
Leave with an understandable plan
- What is each suggested test meant to find?
- Would its result change the plan?
- Who will explain the results and answer follow-up questions?
- Can I have the reasoning and the costs in writing?
