When thymalfasin comes up

US approval

Approval has a place attached.

Myth: Permission to use a medicine abroad also covers the United States.

The answer

No US product containing this peptide has FDA approval as of September 28, 2026. The FDA is the US medicine regulator.

Italy's permission is specific

Italy's medicines agency listed thymalfasin (Zadaxin) as an authorised prescription medicine when checked on September 28, 2026.

In the FDA's 2024 account, Italy uses it alongside flu vaccination in people whose immune defences are weak.

That is a specific use in a named country, rather than a broad promise about immune health.

An overseas offer needs a separate check

Personal medicine imports into the US are illegal in most cases, the FDA says, as of September 26, 2026.

It describes narrow cases where it may choose not to enforce the rule; an overseas approval is not general US permission.

Ask your doctor what US rule allows the exact product being offered to be supplied here. A list of countries does not answer that question.
